PKR Svay Rieng FC wins the Cambodian Premier League 2025
The arrival of coach Pep Muñoz at the head of Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC marked a real turning point in the club's history. In his second season in charge, the Spanish coach - formerly in command of FC Barcelona's youth academy - took the team to the top of the AFC Champions League 2.

Fresh from being crowned champions of the Cambodian Premier League 2024/25 for the second year running, PKR Svay Rieng FC are now preparing to contest the first-ever AFC Challenge League final, in the continental third division, against FC Arkadag of Turkmenistan.

FC Arkadag, a strong contender founded in 2023, is a concentration of the country's top talent with an already impressive track record. The young club has won all Turkmenistan's major national trophies, including an exceptional 61 consecutive victories in official competitions. Needless to say, Svay Rieng will have their work cut out against such a giant.

However, Pep Muñoz is approaching this final with determination and serenity. Convinced of his players' potential, he firmly believes in their ability to overturn the Turkmens and make history in the annals of Cambodian soccer.
