This is my favorite place to eat Banh Chheav and Nom Krouk. In any case, that's pretty much all they serve. The third option — spring rolls — doesn't really interest me.
Banh Chheav is a Vietnamese crepe filled with minced pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts. It's eaten with your hands: you tear off a piece of the crepe, wrap it in a lettuce leaf, and dip the whole thing into a fish sauce-based dip (nuoc mam).
Nom Krouk, on the other hand, is a Khmer street food specialty. They're small rice flour balls that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They're served with a delicious sauce made from coconut milk and fish sauce. It's a snack that can be enjoyed at any time of day.
The restaurant is a bit out of the way, located at the far end of Tuol Tom Poung, but for me, it's well worth the trip. It's one of the most affordable spots I recommend: just 8,000 riel (about $2) for a Banh Chheav, and 4,000 riel ($1) for five Nom Krouk.
The best restaurants in Phnom Penh: authentic Khmer cuisine, refined Asian flavors, and must-try European dining spots.

The latest trendy restaurant is Baisor, and I'm delighted that it showcases Khmer cuisine. It's located right at the foot of the Tribe Hotel, near Wat Phnom.
The space, designed in an open style with a visible kitchen, is spacious, pleasant, and decidedly trendy—perfect for groups.
The menu is varied and offers all the essentials of Khmer cuisine, with many dishes to share. Special mention goes to the pork ribs and the delicious dips that accompany the dishes: it feels just like home.
In short, this is a place to keep close to your heart!

An excellent dim sum restaurant where everything is homemade. The owner originally opened a street restaurant and, thanks to its success, was able to open his first establishment in TTP, followed by a second in BBK1. His specialty is rice rolls, which are really soft and perfectly thin. Several fillings are offered, such as shrimp, egg and pork, as well as vegetarian options. There are also classic siu mai, pork and egg buns, and duck noodles. And if you want to continue, there are also noodle soups and rice porridge. In short, if you like dim sum, you will be in the right place.
