Café Noah BKK1 Phnom Penh – spacious air-conditioned café, perfect for remote work

"She says every café is her favourite…" 😬 Fair point. But hear me out - Café Noah is in BKK1, my neighbourhood. It's a five-minute walk from my door. And when something this good is that close to home, it earns a special place.

First impressions count

Before you've even ordered, the staff hands you the WiFi password and invites you to settle in. That small gesture sets the tone for everything: this place gets it.

The soundtrack is hotel lobby jazz — the kind that makes you exhale without noticing. Layered underneath, the muffled hum of BKK1 traffic drifts in from the street, creating a white-noise backdrop that's oddly perfect for deep work.

A space that works for you

The room is large, well air-conditioned, and thoughtfully laid out with tables at different heights — low lounge-style tables for relaxed afternoons, higher ones for a proper work setup. And if you really want to disappear, head upstairs: the cosy mezzanine is set up with plush sofas.

The décor is minimal but intentional. Everything feels considered — and the place is immaculately clean and well kept, which matters more than people admit.

The best café to work from in Phnom Penh

There are power outlets everywhere. No rationing your laptop battery before you leave the house. Small signs around the space gently remind guests to keep noise down — and people actually do. The atmosphere is calm without being sterile.

Honestly? This is where I get the most work done in Phnom Penh.

The menu: specialty coffee, not Khmer-style

You won't find traditional Khmer iced coffee here but I found my ritual quickly: the Gentle Macchiato — a very smooth coffee drowned in cream, $3. Soft enough to ease into the day, strong enough to matter.

Pricing is genuinely reasonable for a café of this calibre in one of Phnom Penh's most sought-after neighbourhoods.

Café Noah is, without a doubt, my favourite spot in Phnom Penh — ever, ever, ever.
