This authentic Chinese restaurant, with its modern décor, is perfect for group meals. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes: roast meats, noodles, vegetables, soups, rice, fish… something to satisfy every appetite.

But the real reason to walk through the door of Duck Kingdom is the rotisserie: roast duck and roast chicken are the house signature. And to be clear, this is no hole-in-the-wall — the dining room is smart and comfortable, and the prices remain very reasonable given the quality of the ingredients.

Above all, this is a place for sharing: you order several dishes, set them in the middle of the table, and everyone digs in. An ideal formula with friends or family, and the best way to taste a bit of everything.

I've been several times and everything is good, without exception. The soups first — my favourite is the sweetcorn and seafood. Then the stir-fried dishes, with a sweet-and-sour pork that is worth the trip on its own. And finally all those flavours so specific to Chinese cooking, such as the salted fish.

Good to know: Duck Kingdom has two addresses in Phnom Penh. The branch inside the Noro Lane shopping mall serves a reduced menu, so go for the main restaurant at Raintree to enjoy the full selection.
