Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia, is not just a stopover on the way to the temples of Angkor, but a city worth staying in, a captivating place where tradition meets modernity. Phnom Penh has experienced rapid growth since the 2000s, yet it don't forget his traditions. Here, you'll encounter monks walking the streets to collect morning alms, while young people gather in trendy coffee shop and restaurant. This fusion creates a unique atmosphere where history and modernity coexist harmoniously.

With a predominantly young population, Phnom Penh has a key advantage to support its development, and there's no doubt the city will continue to surprise us. However, exploring the city without preparation can be challenging due to the heat and the privatization of sidewalks, making walking less pleasant. To make the most of your time and fully enjoy your stay, here are some of my best restaurants and places in Phnom Penh.

And to keep enjoying the atmosphere of Phnom Penh, I suggest a selection of Khmer literature.
